ASSISTANT BREEDING MANAGER

What will you do?

As Assistant Cultivation Manager Do you support the cultivation manager in managing, monitoring, and optimizing our cultivation processes?.

To thoroughly learn about our various crops, you will actively participate in production. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in various tasks, such as taking cuttings, notching, sorting, and preparing plants for transport.

Your responsibilities evolve with the seasons:

During the winter months:

Follow-up and care of the plants
Watering, fertilizing, and spraying
Coordinate and organize about moving plants between the greenhouse and outdoor fields

During the summer months:

Supporting the cultivation manager in the various cultivation processes
Follow up with me on the growth, quality, and health of the plants
You get thorough training on the job. Step by step, you’ll take on more responsibility and work your way up to a position where you’ll independently manage part of the cultivation process. Eventually, you’ll also have the opportunity to lead a team of employees.

What do we expect?

We are looking for a motivated colleague who enjoys taking responsibility and wants to further develop within the ornamental horticulture sector.

You have a senior secondary education diploma (A2) in horticulture or an equivalent training.
You are in possession of a valid phytolicense or willing to obtain one.
You have Interest in plant cultivation and a willingness to learn.
You are Communicative and enjoys working collaboratively. with colleagues.
You are Flexible and adaptable to seasonal work.
You work Accurate, orderly, and quality-conscious.
You can Managing busy periods well.
Physical work doesn't scare you And you enjoy actively participating on the shop floor.
You speak Dutch and/or English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
